Topic: QuickBooks 2008 Non US Versions - Tax ImplicationsPosted: 02 July 2008 at 10:22am |
|
NOTE: THIS POST ONLY IMPACTS QUICKBOOKS USERS FROM CANADA, UNITED KINGDOM, AND AUSTRALIA. USA USERS CAN IGNORE THIS POSTING
For 2008 Intuit has dropped support for setting Tax1Total and Tax2Total via the QBSDK. Users that have been using these fields to set GST/PST (Canada) or VAT (UK) will not longer have access to these fields once they upgrade to QuickBooks 2008.
The workaround is as follows:
Use the following fields:
Sales Tax Code (set to a valid tax or VAT code) on each line
Is Tax Included - optional flag to include the tax in the amount on all transaction lines.
This update to support both AR and AP tax codes was released on July 1st, 2008 and is in version 2.141. If you need this version you can simply update by clicking About(Register) then Check for Updates.
