If you receive a message that is similar to the following:
Invalid Reference to ItemList

We have a command you can evoke to prevent this from happening. The basic reason is we first add an Item to QBOE and then use that newly created item on the transaction. The trouble is a timing issue - QBOE doesn't recognize the item as being added because of delay is too small. This could be due to a number of factors beyond our control, such as network traffic (number of companies using QBOE).

To prevent this message from happening you can increase the number of milliseconds after an item (or customer, vendor, account) are added. Not all users experience this error so only use this feature if you are experiencing this error.

This will set a delay of 750 ms (.75 seconds) after each new item is added. This will add this time after each new item is added, slowing down the import. You can set the delay from 1ms (1/1000th of a sec) to 10000ms (10 sec).

1. Right click on the Windows START button on the lower left of your desktop and left click OPEN

2. Double click Programs folder. Double Click the 01 Transaction Pro Import Wizard - QBOE Edition folder.

3. You will see a shortcut named “Transaction Pro Import Wizard OE”. Make a copy of this folder by clicking Edit/Copy then Edit/Paste.

4. Bring up the properties for this new program shortcut (right click on the shortcut and choose properties)

5. Edit the target from this:

"C:\Program Files\01 Transaction Pro Import Wizard - QBOE Edition\Transaction Pro Import Wizard OE.exe"

to this:

"C:\Program Files\01 Transaction Pro Import Wizard - QBOE Edition\Transaction Pro Import Wizard OE.exe" -DELAY=750

For TPI3 the target should read:

"C:\Program Files\01 Transaction Pro Importer 3.0 for QuickBooks Online\Transaction Pro Import Wizard OE.exe" -DELAY=750

Can someone tell me  how to do this in Windows 7?  I can't figure out how to make the delay work, and I'm having this issue.

Thanks!

Right mouse click on the notepad application and select run as administrator.  Then you can navigate for the field.tpi file.
