The exporter is $125 and you can request a demo from this link: http://baystateconsulting.com/products/01TxnExportDemo.asp#demo

I used the Utilities/Export function from QB.
How much is your exporter?

An easier way to do this is to use our exporter product to pull the item list. Unlike the QB report we pull the full item name with subitems. That way it's properly formatted for use with TPI. Another advantage is you don't need to remove pages headers/footers and other invalid file data. If you don't want to have to purchase the exporter then you need to look over the file you sent and see if any of those items are sub items. If they are it's going to be very hard for you to correct your file. Just how did you produce your export file? Which report did you run? We can see if it is including the parent or just the sub items. |

It's possible. Short of going thru all the items I don't know how to determine that. Is there any way to identify the records that are rejected?

Is it possible these are subitems and QB isn't showing the parent child relationship with the colon separator?

Can you post a small sample of your import file? Click Post reply and then upload it as a zip file. Is it possible these are subitems and QB isn't showing the parent child relationship with the colon separator?

I'm trying to zero out the counts on about 13K inventory items. I exported the item list to Excel, eliminated unnecessary columns, and used the TPI sample inventory adjustment file as a template. When TPI tries to import, it says that some item names don't match QB (remember, they were exported from QB). In addition, I can't match the item names on the TPI error list with the item names in my Excel import file. So I can't get rid of the invalid names, and can't import the file. Any ideas? Also, is there any way to use TPI to inactivate inventory items?
Thanks.
