Hello-

First, thank you for this fantastic product!! The importer has been a HUGE help with our financial operations.

I have been using the importer for the past 6 months and it has worked great up until a week ago. When I go to open the Transaction Importer, I receive the following error:

Error in frmGenie: Function IsQuickBooksRunning
Line 127 Method '~' of object '~' failed
(Error #-2147417848)

I explored the forum and found similar problems. I tried the recommended fix (uninstalling QB, deleting the recommend folders, reboot, then reinstall) and have been unsuccessful. In fact, I have tried this three times in the last two days, with the help of my IT guy.

We are unsure of why this error has occurred, consider that my computer has not experienced any changes since the last time I used the importer. Any help or insight into this issue would be MOST appreciated!!

Thank you!

If you are using Windows 7 or Vista did someone change your User Account Control Settings? They need to be turned on for Vista and set to Max for Windows 7.

Search Windows help for User Account Control to find this setting.

Thanks for the complement we appreciate it very much Smile

Thank you for your response. Turns out it was my computer, which ended up crashing. I have a new computer and the importer is working great!!!

Thank you again. Cheers!
