So if New Qty = 0 then no adjustment is made and it is basically ignored?

Okay, I have found the pattern. It is not adjusting the on hand figure when the figure being imported is 0. For example, if the figure in QB prior to the adjustment is 15, nd the new qty figureI imort is 0, the qb figure remains 15. All other numbers work (so, e.g., qb hd 15, the new qty figure in the import is 10, and then after the import qb reads 10).
This feels solveable!

Thee is no pattern to the ones not being adjusted. They are in the same fomat as the ones which are being done, using the new qty filed. They are not at the end or the begnning of the list. So I ca't figure out what's up.

Which ones are not being adjusted? Are you using the "New Qty" fields for those?

Hi There Just been testing. Its an improvement, in that it seems to be making the adjustment versus the correct date in the past. However I am getting uneven results - 90% of items are being adjusted, 10% not. I have tried rerunning several times but get the same results.
Thoughts??

OK, we understand what is happening now. We will have to make some adjustments to address this issue. It might take as long as a week to get you a build that addresses this.

Yes, I have tested it manually. I have also looked at what TPI produces when I run it. It creates an inventory adjustment with the date (in the past) I want, but it translates the new qty figures I enter into qty adjustment figures, but using the on hand figures for the present date. For example,
1 Mar 1 Apr 1 May
1 2 7
If I wanted to adjust the figures for 1 April from 1 to 2, but the current on hand figure (assuming I did te adjustment on 1 May) was 5, TPI translates my '2' to be a qty adjustment of '-5' (7-2=5).
Any ideas? Perhaps you could recreate and see what you think is going on?
Any help gratefullyreceived.

Can you do what you are saying manually in QB?

Hi There,
I am having problems doing an inventory adjustment using TPI 4.
I need to adjust quantities on hand for a point in the past. TPI lets me input the date of the transaction, and the 'new qty' for each item. However, after I run the import and look at QB what I see is that TPI has imported in such a way tht QB has compared the 'new qty' numbers I imported to the qty on hand for today's date, not the date of the transaction. Confusingly the adjustment date shown in QB (created during the import) is the date I selected in the past.
Am I missing something?
Many thanks
Tom
