I am successfully importing customer invoice transactions into Quickbooks.  One of the fields I import is the PO Field.  Unfortunately, Quickbooks will display very little detail about the invoice on a customer statement and the statements don't appear to be customizable to the ability of adding a PO Field to the invoice line item.

I do notice if you select Show Invoice Item Details it will show the item description.

Would it be possible to append my data into the item description field?

We came out with the latest version of Transaction Pro Importer, Transaction Pro Importer 5.0, prior to QuickBooks 2012 coming out and we did implement a work around in Transaction Pro Importer 5.0 to adjust for Intuit's bug in the latest version of the QuickBooks API.  You can read more on the developer forum at https://idnforums.intuit.com/messageview.aspx?catid=7&threadid=16535&highlight_key=y&keyword1=notes.  Once Intuit fixes this bug this error message will go away.  The transactions will post to QuickBooks you will just receive these error messages.

Transaction Pro Importer 4.0 does work properly with versions of QuickBooks prior to 2012.  You are receiving this error message because you upgraded to QuickBooks 2012.  We have also added a lot of new features which are  also available in the upgrade.

Your last post was posted just a little over a day ago late in the day on Monday and it is Wednesday morning.  We try to respond to all support requests as quickly as we can but sometimes it can take up to 2 business days.  Yes we do charge for phone support but we do provide a lot of free resources to all users such as our support forum and blog.

We took a look at your data and the reason why you are getting their error is because you have mapped data to expenses amount but have not mapped any data to the QuickBooks field, Expense Account.  You can also read more on our blog here.

From the files you sent me it looks like you have selected the import type of Invoices.  If this is the case for some reason TPI cannot find an AR account.  To activate the AR account in QBs go to the home page and select the icon:  Create Invoices.  Then relaunch Transaction Pro Impoter.

You also mention that you are using this for expenses and expense memos so I am not sure why you are doing an invoice import.

First I'll give our Specs as instructed:

1. Transaction Pro Importer 5.0
2. Quickbooks Enterprise 12, 2012
3. .csv file (Called Staples QB Import Template in zip file)
4. Map file is attached in zip file
5. N/A
6. Attached Screens in zip file (JPEG files)

I'm getting an odd error in the program when I try to upload (It says that TPI needs a item number, but I'm setting up this template for only expenses and expense memos).
